The Heating Plant in Poręba
was built in mid fifties as part of a local Mechanic Instruments Factory. Since the beginning, it was supplying the factory and the city with heat. In 1999, the heating plant was privatized and in 2001 was taken over by Praterm S.A.
The heating system in Poręba is equipped with 4 coal boilers WLM-5 and 7 km long grid. The total power ordered is 12,5 MW. Annual sales exceed 60,000 GJ for heating purpose.
Since 1999 (privatization of the plant) the complex modernization and automation of the plant has been accomplished. Currently, there are 13 people employed at the plant, which is managed by Mr. Andrzej Kucharzewski.
